Revitalize & Restore: Experience the Healing Power of Fire Cupping

I’m excited to offer special fire cupping/stretch sessions starting in March, every Wednesday at 11:15 AM.

This private, one-on-one session lasts one hour and provides an opportunity to experience the therapeutic effects of this ancient practice.

How it works and main benefits

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, diseases are believed to arise from the stagnation of blood and energy, known as “Qi,” in the body.

By allowing the flow of energy along the meridians, you can maintain homeostasis and balance within your body. When free from pain and toxins, your body can operate at its peak performance.

Cupping therapy is especially effective for relieving muscle tension. In fact, it is often noted that cupping produces similar benefits to those of a deep tissue massage. This treatment is highly beneficial for improving the range of motion in the back, neck, and shoulders.

What is Fire Cupping?

Fire Cupping is a fascinating therapeutic technique rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that harnesses the power of heat and suction to promote wellness. This method involves the careful heating of glass cups, which creates a vacuum effect when they are applied to the skin.

The cups can either be positioned in a single location for a designated period or skillfully glided across the surface of the skin, offering a soothing massage-like experience.

The vacuum created within the cups serves a dual purpose: it effectively draws out toxins from the body while enhancing blood circulation. This stimulates the body’s natural healing processes, helping to alleviate stagnation and congestion.

As a result, Fire Cupping is known not just for its physical benefits but also for instilling a profound sense of relaxation and rejuvenation.

Many of you know that I have been a nationally certified massage therapist and health educator since 1998. Holding certifications in various modalities and being a Reiki master have shaped my journey.

I transitioned to yoga because my body could no longer handle the intensity of deep tissue massages I once offered. My mission is to empower those I work with to actively participate in their healing journey.

Iyengar yoga provides a therapeutic approach to alleviating pain, teaching the importance of proper body mechanics and alignment to prevent future issues. There is an undeniable magic in touch and the personal connection that comes from one-on-one interactions; it’s a bond I cherish, even as I shift away from deep tissue work.

I’m excited to introduce a unique blend of massage and stretching in my cupping sessions.

Spring Solstice Restorative Yoga and Sound Bath:

Embrace Balance, Renewal, and Light with a Guided Practice

Join me for a special invitation to a guided meditation, pranayama, and restorative yoga practice led by me. We will be graced by a soothing sound bath from the fabulous Lori to celebrate the spring equinox.

Equinoxes represent a beautiful balance when day and night are nearly equal, as the Earth’s axis rests neither toward nor away from the sun. This is a wonderful opportunity to honor the light and dark within us, embracing the wisdom that arises from both.

What can we spring forth from these teachings? As we enter this vibrant season, we awaken to a surge of creative energy within our minds and bodies. Spring symbolizes rebirth, renewal, and hope.

Heralding the triumph of light over darkness. We must shine a light on the less conscious aspects of ourselves, creating space to invite fresh prana into our body and mind.
